Andrew Bannecker

Winter Celebration

Website: www.andrewbannecker.com

A collector of old ephemera and just about anything wood and metal, Andrew creates beautiful art that captures the imagination and tells a story. He works in a studio in Washington, D.C., that is beautifully cluttered with everything from toy rocket ships to vintage glass beakers filled with skittles. His work has been featured at the One Show, New York Festivals, Communication Arts, American Illustration, 3x3 ProShow, and The Society of Illustrators, as well as in "3x3 Magazine," "Lürzer's Archive 200 Best Illustrators," and in exhibitions of note all over the world.

Andrew is represented in the USA by Bernstein & Andriulli of New York.

Jana Christy

Family Sledding

Website: www.janachristy.com

Jana grew up on the frozen tundra of Rochester, N.Y., and has always loved children's book illustration. After a very brief stint in art school, she spent her early adulthood traveling and working as a nanny, which reintroduced her to picture book art and ignited her desire to pursue illustration as a career.

After getting her start in independent comics in the 90s, she worked as a Boston-based illustrator. Her artwork appeared in a number of publications, including The Boston Globe, The Boston Phoenix, and The Boston Herald.

Jana is ecstatic that she now spends the majority of her time creating illustrations for children's books and magazines.

She's currently living in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts in the old mill town of North Adams. She and her husband/creative partner John Seven live with their home-schooled, free-range, rock-star sons Harry and Hugo.

Sarah Coleman

Elegant Ornament

Website: www.inkymole.com

Inkymole, aka Sarah J. Coleman, arrived at a full-time career in illustration and typography via extra time served in the bizarre and magical worlds of pirate radio, lecturing, youth work, theatre, and local newspapers. Now into her second decade of creating words and pictures for an international client base, she has held solo U.K. exhibitions in London, Leeds, and Birmingham, and U.S. exhibitions in Manhattan and Rhode Island.

Based in the English Midlands, Sarah cut her teeth at the Royal Shakespeare Company, using the small dark hours to catch up on mounting illustration briefs. Inspired by the penmanship of a more elegant era and with a muscular, if pedantic, grasp of the English language, she has wrapped her perma-stained fingers around words and pictures for advertising, identities, packaging, record sleeves, and a trillion book covers.

She is represented in the USA by Bernstein & Andriulli of New York.
