Become a Scooper School
The Jimmy Fund Scooper Schools Program provides students in New England the opportunity to earn free admission to the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® by planning and participating in fundraising projects for the Jimmy Fund throughout the year. By doing so, these students are able to tap into their creativity, build self-confidence, and, most importantly, learn the importance of philanthropy by fundraising at their school.
Teaching students the critical importance of philanthropy and volunteerism in building a better society is a fundamental goal of the Jimmy Fund Scooper Schools Program. The act of giving unleashes the idea that a child can touch someone's life, and by participating in Scooper Schools, children will learn that they too can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
2011 Participating Scooper Schools received:
- Contact information for a Scooper School liaison to help along the way
- Creative fundraising event ideas
- Scooper Bowl posters, ice cream cups for your fundraiser, and Jimmy Fund banners
- Special thank you at the 29th Annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl®
- School name listed on the Scooper Schools event signage
- School name listed on the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® Website
