Get your Wiffle ball bats ready for the seventh annual Tourney for Tim Wiffle Ball Tournament. The event includes both pro and amateur divisions — teams of all levels are welcome. In addition, there will be music, food, an opportunity drawing, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. All proceeds benefit the Timothy P. Roberts Reeling in a Dream Fund at Dana-Farber.
The Tourney for Tim event began in the summer of 2005 during Tim Roberts' struggle with cancer. It was conceived by Tim's friends and family and is a tremendous success in raising money and awareness in the fight against cancer.
The Tourney for Tim is a wiffle ball tournament organized by the North Andover Wiffle Ball League (NAWBL). Shortly after the first Tourney for Tim was held, Timothy Roberts succumbed to cancer on August 25, 2005. The event continued in 2006 as not only a fundraiser, but also a celebration of Tim's life and spirit.
