Summer 2008

Little League Logo

Since 1987, the hard work and winning spirit of the coaches, parents and most importantly, the players participating in the Jimmy Fund Little League Program, have raised more than $2 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

This fun, exciting program allows more than 4,000 Little League baseball and softball players from all over New England the chance to play ball after the end of their regular season by participating in a local tournament. Off the field, these young heroes take to their communities to raise vital funds for the Jimmy Fund. As a result, the children are able to have fun while learning the importance of helping others.

Little Leaguers take their swings for Jimmy

When hitters drive balls off the Green Monster at Boston’s Fenway Park, fans watching from the stands or on TV often get a quick glimpse at the Jimmy Fund logo emblazoned on the famous left-field wall. It features a smiling, uniformed athlete of Little League age, presumably back in the game after finishing cancer treatment. Learn more
