On April 15, support Gin and Tom "Satch" Sanders' Gala Sneaker Ball to benefit head and neck research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dress up, put on your sneakers, and come to Boston for a night of eating, drinking, and dancing.
Gin Sanders is a five-year survivor of a stage four throat cancer. She is a retired psychotherapist, business owner, public speaker, university administrator, and swimming coach. In her youth, she was a national swimming champion and later became a national United States masters swimming champion in five different events.
Tom "Satch" Sanders is a Boston Celtics legend who played for thirteen years and was a member of eight World Championship teams. He has coached the Boston Celtics and Harvard University. In the 1980s, he owned and operated "Satch's" restaurant in Boston.
The event will be emceed by Fox-25 News anchor Maria Stephanos.
