Jan. 25 Jimmy Fund benefit tickets available

An ensemble cast for restaurants sure to receive a standing ovation will be serving up their tastiest dishes to the Springfield area on Jan. 25. It's time to get tickets to the annual celebration of great dining to benefit the Jimmy Fund. Get set for a delicious evening when Kittredge Equipment Company and Winer Levsky Group present "Chefs for Jimmy."

"Chefs for Jimmy" a gourmet sampling and social event, celebrating its 18th year, will be held at Agawam's Chez Josef on Friday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. This year's Broadway themed event will roll out the red carpet for 30 of the area's finest restaurants and caterers to serve up delicious delicacies sure to make anyone feel like a star. Members of the Jimmy Fund Council of Western Massachusetts are selling tickets through Jan. 25.

This year's event is expected to have a record turnout. Last year's "Chefs for Jimmy" raised a record breaking $110,000 for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, bringing the total contributions to over $700,000 since 1990.

"Chefs for Jimmy" tickets are $65 per person and support the important work of Dana-Farber. Tickets are available by calling the Western New England Jimmy Fund office in West Springfield at (888) 546-6938 or on the website www.jimmyfund.org/chefs-for-jimmy.

The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world.
