One of America's favorite charities will be celebrating a sweet and delicious birthday in Boston. The 25th annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl® has been the nation's largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival since its inception in 1983. On June 5, 6, and 7, 2007, Boston City Hall Plaza will turn into a mega ice cream parlor, once again, offering more than 40 flavors of top brand ice creams.

Just dish out a few dollars to try everything from birthday cake remix to chocolate chip cookie dough and strawberry sorbet. All proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and care at the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since it began, the Scooper Bowl has raised $1.8 million. The goal is to raise $150,000 this year.

Rain or shine, the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl will serve roughly ten tons of ice cream from Baskin-Robbins, Ben & Jerry's, Brigham's, Cold Stone Creamery, Èlan Frozen Yogurt, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Garelick Farms, Breyers, Häagen-Dazs, and HP Hood.

The 25th Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl will also feature live music, contests, and games good for the entire family. It will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 7. Hours will be extended until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6.

Admission to the Scooper Bowl is $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 3-10, and free for children younger than 3. There is also a $15 Scooper Pass, which allows guests to skip the line and enter the Scooper Bowl up to three times of your choice. The Scooper Pass is only on sale until June 4. Go to www.scooperbowl.org to buy it today. Large groups are encouraged to buy tickets in advance, too. There is a 10 percent discount for groups of 15 people or more.
