Since 2000, A Chance for Kids and Burger King have raised money to fund cancer research and care. Modell's joined the effort in 2005 adding to the program's success and with the addition of Blockbuster last year the campaign raised over $1 million for the Jimmy Fund.

A Chance for Kids supports the many young cancer patients throughout the region who are being treated at Dana-Farber's Jimmy Fund Clinic. These children represent pediatric cancer patients from around the world who will be helped by the lifesaving research conducted there. The support of the more than 700 participating locations and their consumers is essential for continued success in the fight against childhood cancers.

"We are looking forward to another successful A Chance for Kids campaign," says Mike Andrews, chairman of the Jimmy Fund. "It is because of the compassion and support of companies like Modell's, Burger King, Blockbuster, and the participating stores and consumers that we are able to move forward with such momentum in our quest to understand, treat, and cure the disease."

In return for their contributions, costumers will receive a scratch card guaranteed to be a winner. Prizes include Burger King french fries, the flame broiled Whopper and other popular menu items, free Blockbuster movie rentals, and shopping passes to participating Modell's Sporting Good Stores. For more information about the Jimmy Fund, or the A Chance for Kids program, including Official Rules and alternate method of entry, visit a participating Modell's Sporting Goods Store, Burger King Restaurant, Blockbuster location, or the Jimmy Fund website at www.jimmyfund.org, or call the Jimmy Fund at (800) 52-JIMMY.
