Warwick Country Club
Jimmy Fund Council of Rhode Island and Southeastern Mass. Golf Tournament
Enjoy a day of golf and help in the fight against cancer at the same time. Warwick Country Club in Warwick, R.I., will host a golf tournament, presented by the Jimmy Fund Council of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts on Sept. 26, to benefit the Jimmy Fund.
This tournament was originally scheduled for Aug. 15 at the Valley Country Club.
The tournament will have a best-ball format. Registration and lunch will begin at 11 a.m. and there will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The cost per player is $205 or $800 for a foursome, which includes golf, a cart, lunch, dinner and a goodie bag. Following the day of golf, there is a dinner with a silent auction. Tickets to the dinner can be purchased for $40 for those that do not wish to golf.
Jimmy Fund councils are groups of dedicated volunteers who act as ambassadors in their communities for the Jimmy Fund, which raises money for cancer research and care for children and adults at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. The councils host fundraising events and promote the Jimmy Fund to support its mission of raising the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world. Dunkin Donuts, a long-time sponsor of the Jimmy Fund, has been a generous local supporter of the Jimmy Fund Council of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
